Before Tyler headed off to Cal State Fullerton in the fall, we wanted to take a family vacation. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic our grand plans to visit Hawaii were dashed. Instead, we opted for the next best thing (as far as the kids were concerned), Disneyland! Tyler, over time, has really become the Star Wars expert. He's just about watched all there is to watch in terms of Star Wars, and while standing in line for Smugglers Run he taught himself to read Aurebesh (common written language in Star Wars). Since Disney owns Star Wars and Disneyland is the home to Galaxy's Edge, coming here to ride Rise of the Resistance and Smugglers Run has become the greatest thing for him. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that California Adventure just opened up the Avengers Campus with the brand new Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure ride too!

On Day 2 we started our day visiting California Adventure first. Tyler got us in the virtual queue for Web Slingers around 10:00am, so we had a couple of hours in the park to ride some rides before it got too busy. Of course, we started everything off with Cars Land, Toy Story, and the Incredicoaster. Then, as it got closer to our turn to ride Spider-Man we paid a visit to the newly opened Avengers Campus. While not nearly as big as Galaxy's Edge, this new attraction still had a lot to see. The Avengers Headquarters was always busy with characters making appearances. Doctor Strange made periodic visits to the Ancient Sanctum. We saw the Dora Milaje give instructions on how to defend oneself, and we also got to see the Black Panther take on the Task Master. The show stopper had to be the Spider-Man stuntronic show where we could see Spider-Man climbing building walls and then a stuntronic robot making incredible flips 60 feet in the air.

Day 3 started with breakfast at the hotel where we used our apps to try to get into the virtual queue. Tyler got us in Group 6 for Rise of the Resistance! This meant as soon as the ride opened we would be one of the first groups to go in. Since the ride wouldn't open until about 9:00am we had an hour or so to kill before we headed over to Galaxy's Edge. So, of course we went straight to Space Mountain, Autopia, and Astro Blasters. On Astro Blasters, Tyler's total was so good he placed in the top 10 on the High Scores Board!
