The DANA (Dharma And Nembutsu Always) Retreat is a leadership and life-skills retreat for high schoolers organized by the College YBA. This weeklong
experience is meant to "challenge them to break out of their shells" and to learn leadership and life-skills with Buddhist thought. Even more meaningful is the assistance of Rinban Bob and Reverend Patti Oshita.
The Oshita's were ministers at the Sacramento Buddhist Church for 32 years. After retiring, "Reverend Bob" was appointed as the Chaplain of the California State Assembly where he opens legislative sessions,
serves as spiritual counselor, and performs ceremonial and symbolic duties.

Banquet July 4, 2019
After nearly a week of learning about leadership and life-skills, the kids at this year's DANA Retreat and their families were treated to a banquet by
the College YBA and Advisors. The food was delicious and the desserts were absolutely off the chart. Later, after the dust had settled, the students spent their last evening together doing Karaoke. This incredible
experience will stay with all the kids for a lifetime.
