Jordyn and her housemate Elena went to Washington DC together on vacation. While there they met good friend Alex who's been working in DC since graduating from UC Santa Barbara. Alex was a great tour guide
since he knew the best places to visit and hang out. He also accompanied them on a number of their excursions visiting museums and tourist attractions. Jordyn really enjoyed this vacation as she had only been
to Washington DC twice, once when she was really little and another time in the 8th Grade during Spring Break.
On the Potomac 10/1/23
This was Jordyn's and Elena's first full day in DC. They took advantage of the beautiful weather and saw a bunch of sights on the Potomac River. Also, since it was a Sunday, Alex was able to join them.
For dinner Alex recommended they drive into Baltimore to eat at the MGM National Harbor and Casino.

Jordyn and Elena signed up for a Night Tour to see many of the Washington DC monuments after hours. These sites are pretty awesome in daylight, but seeing them at night with the lights spotlighting them is
pretty stunning.

National Air and Space Museum 10/6/23
On their last day, Jordyn and Elena went to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. It's here where Dad asked Jordyn to see if she could get some pictures of the U.S.S. Enterprise from Star Trek. A few years
back it had undergone a major restoration. Once displayed in the bookstore, the newly restored Enterprise now proudly sits in the Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall. As well as the Enterprise, Dad was surprised
to see Jordyn got some shots of an X-Wing Resistance Fighter on display from the Star Wars sequels. After this museum they met up with Alex for their last dinner in Washington D.C..
