Christmas 2024
Christmas Eve was as it always was, dinner at the Helms household. And, as always, the food was fantastic. There was pork, miso salmon, sticky rice (naw mai fan), string beans, potatoes, and a salad.
For dessert we had mandarin orange delight and cupcakes. Unlike past years, however, Tyler and Deb didn't make it. Tyler caught a bad cold when he went camping in Joshua Tree after finals. He was pretty
miserable because he was constantly blowing his nose, and he didn't want to get anyone else sick. Deb was making jook for him but it wasn't done yet when we had to leave, plus she didn't want to leave him
alone on Christmas Eve so she stayed behind too.
