Christmas 2021
Much like 2020, Christmas 2021 was spent by ourselves. We were all set to spend Christmas Eve with Auntie Deanna, Auntie Melissa, and her family, but 3 separate incidents of potential contact with
people who tested positive for COVID foiled those plans. In the end, we all decided to cancel dinner and just exchange gifts by dropping them off at Grandma's and Grandpa's. We also canceled Christmas
Day dinner too. This meant Mom had to figure out something to eat on both of those days, but as always, she found a way to produce some mouth watering delights. Despite not having dinner with family,
we still raked in a bunch of Christmas gifts! This year's haul included clothes, puzzles, another Captain America Pop Funko, a charger for my iPhone and earbuds, and lots of other cool gifts!

The Omicron variant dashed all our Christmas dinner plans. Since the family wasn't gathering like we wanted, Uncle Joel decided he might as well go to work (Auntie Christine and Mason were still in
South Carolina). The SFFD was going through staffing issues with COVID running rampant so he picked up extra shifts to give other firefighters a chance to be with their families. This meant we weren't
able to exchange gifts like we normally would. Fortunately, Dad was going to SF to Grandma's and Grandpa's to help them with their new TV on New Years Eve and that happened to be Uncle Joel's one day off
in the midst of working 7 out of 8 straight days. They made the gift exchange just before the year ended.
