Jordyn received an internship at Amazon for the summer of 2020. At first it appeared as if she would be assigned to the office in San Francisco, but as luck would have it she was transferred to
Santa Clara (closer to home). In the end it didn't matter because the COVID-19 pandemic prevented everyone from going into the office anyway, so Jordyn would work remotely from home. However, that meant
she needed a laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headset for her home office. Just before Jordyn's start date, Amazon delivered all those things to the house.

First Day in the Office
March 9, 2022
Jordyn started working full time at Amazon as a Software Engineer on Monday, August 23, 2021. Since that time she has been working remotely at home. Most of her responsibilities have to do with
Alexa software for the Echo and other related Amazon devices, so it isn't really important she be in the office. However, it has been pretty boring and she hasn't had any real opportunities to meet
her co-workers in person. Finally, when infection rates and hospitalizations due to COVID declined, Amazon opened the offices for everyone one day a week starting Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Jordyn
really looked forward to this day when she would be able to work at her own desk amongst her team of fellow Software Engineers.
Heading out for her first day in the office.
