This Disneyland excursion was brought about as a result of the MVBT YBA Disneyland trip back in July of last year. Prior to that trip, Connor
had been to Disneyland numerous times, but Jillian had only been to Disneyland once when she was really little. While both had a ton of fun on the YBA trip, Jillian felt it would have been nice to take in the
parks a little more without feeling rushed to get to the next ride.
Now, Jillian's older sister is Caitlyn who has been Tyler's guide and mentor at CSUF since he got there. Fullerton is just a hop, skip, and
jump away from Disneyland (just up the 57). Can you see where this is headed? So, a trip was coordinated where the Sato kids and the Higa kids (except Vanessa who had to go back to UH) would visit Disneyland
over the long MLK weekend. They would go to the parks on both Saturday and Sunday and in the evenings travel up the freeway to sleep at Caitlyn's and Tyler's apartments at CSUF. Monday morning they would fly
back home (except for Caitlyn and Tyler who would start classes the following week).
Unfortunately, 2023 started off with probably the largest period of rain in years. Some of the rides were closed because of all the precipitation, but after a while they really didn't care anymore. They would
still have fun on the rides and attractions that were open, and this time they would take their time to see some of the stuff Jillian might have missed on the YBA trip.

So Sunday was much of the same as the day before but less rain. This was a good thing as more attractions were open, so the kids were able to ride some of the outdoor roller coasters (Incredicoaster) and
the Radiator Springs Racers. Not everything worked as it should have however. For instance, Space Mountain broke down near the end of one of their rides, but it offered them an opportunity to see what the
place looked like with the lights on! Another ride that went a little haywire was Astro Blasters. According to the scores on the vehicles' display, everyone scored 999,999!
