On Sunday, April 10 Connor helped celebrate Hanamatsuri with his Dharma preschool class by performing Itsy Bitsy Spider. They all got
on stage to sing and dance. Watch the video to see Connor's "mad skills".

For the last two years the Mountain View Buddhist Temple Dharma School has sponsored Family Fun Night. This time the Adult Buddhist Association (ABA) also
helped out to plan and coordinate this event. The big draw this night was a Paint Nite for all ages and open gym. In the end, this cross-generational event drew a lot of people who had a ton of fun.
Every year the MVBT Dharma School hosts a campout for the students. As always there was a bouncy house, laser tag, video games, a movie, dinner, and smores!
It also gave Connor the opportunity to play Nintendo Switch with homies Christopher and Mason.
Due to the COVID-19 shelter-in-place mandate, Dharma School, and Sunday service, could no longer be held at temple. Mukojima Sensei continued to perform service, but he would record his Dharma Message and
post it on the temple's website. Dharma School was another matter. However, using Zoom software Mr. Arima got about 7 kids from his 7th and 8th Grade Dharma Class together and created a video to play with
Sensei's Sunday Service message.
At the end of every school year graduating seniors give a speech about their experiences, memories, and what they've learned as Dharma School students at the Mountain View Buddhist Temple. This was
Connor's turn after both Jordyn and Tyler gave their talks when they
were seniors. We were so proud to hear Connor's talk. He was thoughtful, funny, and grateful for his time as a Dharma School student at the Temple. The opportunities and experiences he received will
definitely help him on his journey as a college student and beyond.

2024 Sasaki Memorial Scholarship
Connor was also one of the recipients for this year's Sasaki Memorial Scholarship. This annual scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors who have demonstrated dedication to Dharma School, YBA, and
volunteered in many of the Mountain View Buddhist Temple events. We're proud to say Connor joined his sister and brother as scholarship recipients. Jordyn
was awarded this scholarship in 2017 and Tyler received his in 2021.

6-Year Dharma School Attendance Award
Finally, we were all surprised to find out that Connor received another Dharma School Attendance Award. This was a pretty big deal as many kids will receive one to three attendance awards over the years,
but to receive a 6-year award is uncommon.
