Christmas 2021
We planned to resume our normal Christmas holiday rituals that included Christmas Eve dinner at Auntie Melissa's and Christmas Day dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's. Unfortunately, COVID had other
plans. The Omicron variant appears to be a very transmissable form of COVID and in some instances the number of reported cases has quadrupled in one week's time. So, out of an abundance of caution, we
elected to cancel our gatherings this year.
Despite not being able to get together we still received a ton of presents. This year's haul included a Lego Carnage bust, Klay Thompson jersey, new hoodie, t-shirts, Spider-Man blanket, and other
assorted goodies.

Christmas didn't end on the 25th for us. Since we didn't get together with family this year there were still presents to be had from Uncle Joel and Auntie Christine. Uncle Joel decided to work
through the holidays since Auntie Christine and Mason were in South Carolina and to give other firefighters a chance to be with their families, so exchanging gifts with him was put on hold. Luckily,
Dad was heading up to Grandma's and Grandpa's on New Years Eve, and that happened to be Uncle Joel's one day off in the midst of working 7 out of 8 days straight. So, on his way up to San Francisco Dad
dropped off Mason's gifts and picked up ours.
