This is Connor's first year of league basketball playing for Tri-City. He's on a team made up of 4th Graders primarily
(the D-American division is comprised of both 4th and 5th Graders). It's great he's able to continue playing with these same players going back to the 2nd Grade. Hopefully, he'll
continue to develop and hone his basketball skills with this team and beyond.
The first preseason tournament of the season is always CYS. This two day tournament consists of two games on Saturday
and a third and final game on Sunday. On Saturday, Connor's team won their first game by 1 point! Their second game went into double overtime when they won on a 3-pointer in sudden
death! They played their third game, the championship game, on Sunday afternoon. After hanging on for a while, they couldn't overcome their lack of experienced 5th Graders. Still, they had
an exciting weekend of basketball and showed that a team of only 4th Graders could go really far.
Every year following the CYS Tournament, Tri-City holds it's pre-season Jamboree. Only two games in one day, all teams
play against other teams from the Bay Area to prepare for the regular season. Connor was able to hit one bucket in his first game. He also hit a free throw for three points total in the game!
