Fifth Grade
This is Connor's last year at Cumberland. He's in Room 13 and his 5th Grade teacher is Mr. Friebel. Connor really likes Mr. Friebel and is looking forward to a great year of learning.

Halloween fell on a Monday this year, so Connor was able to celebrate at school and then Trick or Treat later that evening. It's great the weather held out because rain was forecast in the evening.

There is one week every school year when all students are asked to walk or roll to school. Every class monitors who walks or rides bikes and scooters during this
special week. The class with the most participants wins a popcorn party. Well, Connor's class beat out every other class at Cumberland for this special award.

Cumberland's Science Fair was held on Thursday, March 16 in the multi-purpose room. All 4th and 5th Graders had their science project boards on display for
everyone to see. Connor's project, this year, was to see what liquid would prevent apple slices from turning brown.

Every 5th Grade class at Cumberland gets to spend one week at Walden West for Science Camp. This year is no different as Connor's class left on Monday, March 20
for one week of learning by doing. Every student will hike, explore, and experiment while living at camp for 5 days.

One day after Jordyn graduated from Homestead, Connor had his "Moving On" celebration at Cumberland. While not nearly as huge as Jordyn's ceremony, Connor's still had the same message of hope and
request for compassion.
Congratulations 5th Graders!
