Dad's latest socially distant beer tasting was very different this time. They usually buy all their beer from Tap't Beer & Kitchen in
downtown Sunnyvale. Unfortunately, the cost of doing business and the COVID slowdown were just too much to overcome. This was the first time they had beer that came from somewhere other than Tap't.

Now that Fall Semester has ended for Jordyn, she decided to give her room a thorough cleaning. She's been going through all her bookshelves and getting rid of anything she doesn't need anymore. Before
she threw stuff out, however, she let me take a look at some paperwork that might have been important at one time. Good thing because there were a few essays she wrote while in elementary school that
had to do with the Higa side family history. They've been transcribed here.

Despite the pandemic being so deadly and life changing, one of the side effects for our family has been the ability to be together for an extended period of time. Since the Fall of 2017, Jordyn
has spent the majority of her time in Southern California. The boys have interests that take them in different directions too. However, since we're all together now and can't do the things we used to,
we have found an abundance of family time. Long lines have returned at Nijiya.

Jordyn's been under the gun recently as she's been working on mulitple projects for school. One of her computer classes has to do with databases and she needed to take information from an
existing database and alter it slightly for it to work in her program. She could have done it herself, but it would have taken time that could be better spent doing something else. So, she
enlisted the help of Tyler and Connor to make the necessary changes while she worked on some coding issues.

This past Thanksgiving we visited Little Tokyo to see the Ultraman exhibit at the Japanese American National Museum. Since we were in the area, we took a quick walk over to the Go For Broke Monument.
The last time we were there we saw two of Dad's great uncles' names etched in the monument. There was another uncle who we couldn't find because his name didn't appear in the online search engine.
Fortunately, this time his name came up in the online search and we found where his name is inscribed.

lot to head home. At the base of the stairs to the arena, Tyler saw someone he thought looked familiar. He asked the gentleman, "Excuse me, but are you Leigh Ellis?". The man responded, "Why,
yes I am". Then Tyler yelled, "DAD! CAN YOU TAKE A PICTURE OF ME AND LEIGH ELLIS?!!!"

This is something a little out of the ordinary. When Grandpa and Grandma Sato went back to Hilo to see Great Grandma recently,Grandma took a picture of a portrait of Great Uncle Mitsugi (Great Grandpa's
