Drawing

This is a self-portrait with a happy smile, heart, and
outline of my hand. The writing in the hand is an
early attempt at writing my name.

This is me and my name.

Jordyn decided before graduation she wanted to repaint her room. When we moved into this house 15 years ago we painted her room pink (a color she chose when she was about 7 years old). Everything was fine until she decided it was time for a change. It took nearly 3 months for her to decide on a color, and she finally found the motivation to paint right before Tyler moved down to Fullerton for college. She thought it would be good to have him around to help. Problem is, he was so busy with seeing all his friends before moving he was never home! Granted, at the beginning of June we started our bathroom remodel and she didn't want to paint for fear of getting in the way of the contractor. Finally, when the bathroom, for all intents and purposes, was finished, for two days straight she and Dad moved furniture, covered stuff, patched holes, taped edges, and ultimately painted. In the end the result was really nice. She chose a nice color, and with some input from Mom decided to paint two of the walls white for contrast.
